Canon makes a “life-size converter” for its 50mm f/2.5 EF macro lens. The lens alone only allows you to take photos at a 1:2 ratio, but this adapter allows the lens to focus to a 1:1 “life-size” ratio. It effectively turns your 50mm lens into a 70mm macro lens. Many people have used this combination to take beautiful pictures of insects, flowers, and many other tiny objects!

The Canon 20-35mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens is an excellent wide-angle lens for any Canon EOS SLR camera owner, film or digital! I highly recommend it myself, as I have used it to take some great pictures with my Digital Rebel XT. Optical performance is great – pictures are extremely sharp! And thanks to Canon’s ultra-silent motor (USM) technology, focusing is super-fast and very quiet. The USM technology also allows for full-time focus, meaning that unlike many other lenses, you can adjust the manual focus at any time you like.

At the prices that you can find it for, I would personally recommend it to ANY Canon EOS owner, with a film OR digital camera! Cameras that it works on include Canon Digital Rebel series (including XT, XTi, XSi), 10D, 20D, 30D, 40D, 1D, 5D, and countless others!
